- 11:18 pm Zooey Deschanel introduces Robert Plant and Alison Krauss (with T-Bone Burnett) who perform the songs "Rich Woman" and "Gone, Gone, Gone"
- 11:09 pm Will.i.am and T-Pain present the award for Best Rap Album to Lil Wayne for Tha Carter III
- 11:02 pm Gary Sinise introduces Lil Wayne, Robin Thicke, Allen Toussaint and Terence Blanchard who perform "Tie My Hands" in tribute to New Orleans.
- 10:55 pm Bo Diddley Tribute, featuring John Mayer, B.B. King, Buddy Guy and Keith Urban

- 7:56 pm Jamie Foxx brought his daughter to the Grammys. I guess it's her birthday soon. Foxx is bragging about his new video which, as he tells it, features the most Oscar winners ever in a music video.
- 7:51 pm Boyz II Men have been together for 18 years. I think technically that means they are men.
- 7:42 pm M.I.A. looks extremely pregnant. Tonight is her due date. "If I go into labor, there's a few hours where I could get the Hell out." Still not sure if she's going to perform.
- 7:38 pm Paris Hilton: "There's so many after parties I just don't know what I'm going to do with myself."
- 7:36 pm Ryan Seacrest to T.I.: "So you're going to be going to jail soon. When is that?" Awkward.
- 7:32 pm Jennifer Hudson introduces her fiance David Otunga.
