Professional football player Graham Gano is a placekicker for the Washington Redskins in the National Football League. Gano joined the Redskins in 2009 by signing as an undrafted free agent. College Football Career
In college, Gano made his NCAA Football debut with the Florida State Seminoles football team as a freshman in 2005 playing in six games including the ACC Championship Game and the Orange Bowl. He saw increased action as a sophomore, appearing in all 13 games and completing each of his punts without a single block. After another season with the Seminoles in 2007 in which he averaged 43.4 yards per punt, Gano was sidelined during the 2008 season with a meniscus tear. He missed just two weeks, coming back to lead the league in completed field goals, field-goal percentage and 50-yard field goals made. Gano went undrafted in 2009, but soon signed with the Baltimore Ravens. He never made the Ravens as he was cut before the season began and went to the United Football League.
