True graham crackers are a type of crackers made with graham flour and are sweet like a cookie. The modern graham cracker of today is often made with bleached white flour. Graham crackers are great for snacking and can be eaten by themselves or with toppings and are also used in several recipes and for making pie crusts.
Graham crackers were invented in 1829 by the Reverend Sylvester Graham as part of the graham diet which was originally considered a health food.
Graham crackers can be made at home or purchased at the grocery store.
