Gossip Girl is a teen television drama based on the series of novels by Cecily von Ziegesar. The show, which airs on the the CW, focuses on the lives of young New York socialites who deal with drugs, interpersonal relationships and other teenage issues.

In a video released on YouTube in January of 2009, Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen performed dramatic jumps, leaps, and demonstrated amazing climbing abilities to escape from paparazzi. While there was no immediate link to a brand, Internet rumors circulated that the video was produced so that Momsen could eventually promote the Nike athletic brand. The Hollywood Reporter has reported that a spinoff of the program is in production and will first air on May 11, 2009.
