Background
Now based in Portland, Oregon, Gossip has attracted attention for their high energy performances and the outspoken Ditto, who has never held back on the subjects of sexuality, body image and feminism. The group's hit single "Standing in the Way of Control" was written as a response to the Bush administration's decision to deny gay people the right to marry.
The band toured in 2007 with the Logo channel's and Cyndi Lauper's True Colors Tour, which raised money for the Human Rights Campaign, the largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender lobbying group in the United States.
