Gordon Stewart was said to have been collecting trash for at least a decade. The rooms in his house were so full of junk that he'd constructed a network of tunnels to get from one room to the other. The odor of rotting garbage was reportedly so strong that the police needed breathing apparatus to enter the home. A special rescue and recovery team crawled around inside the tunnels until they located Mr. Stewart's body.
