Before being cast in ER, Visnjic had several speaking roles in American films and prior to that he had roles in the foreign films Vidimo se, Michele va alla guerra, Paranoja and Braca po materi.

  Visnjic's other American acting credits include Night Watch, Welcome to Sarajevo, The Peacemaker', Rounders, Practical Magic, The Deep End, Spartacus, Elektra and Ice Age.
