The well loved book series and television show Goosebumps is being adapted to film by Columbia Pictures. Producer Neal Moritz will join Scholastic Media's Deborah Forte to produce the film. The Goosebump book series encompasses more than fifty books that have sold more than 300 million copies, a record surpassed only by the Harry Potter series.

The series has been named the "horror series for children" and features twist endings as an element of surprise. Normal children find themselves in scary situations in remote or isloated areas. Favorite Goosebumps characters are; Slappy the Dummy, Cuddles the Hamster, Amaz-O the bunny magician and Prince Khor-Ru the mummy.
