Ingredients for Roast Goose

How to Roast Goose

To cook a goose in the oven, first heat the oven to 400 degrees. Once the goose is properly garnished and ready, put it in the oven. The goose should become a golden brown after about an hour. Fat from the pan should be removed approximately every 30 minutes. Heat should be reduced toward the end of the cooking process. When checking the goose's internal temperature with a thermometer, it should read 180 degrees. The goose should then be taken out of the oven and allowed to sit for about 15 minutes. It is then ready to serve with gravy and additional dishes.
