Google has lifted its ban on gambling advertisements in the United Kingdom, citing consistency with local business practices as a motivating factor. Though Google previously enforced a worldwide ban on gambling ads on its search engine results pages, Online gambling is legal in Great Britain. An internal policy review by Google resulted in the inclusion of text ads for UK-based gambling keyword queries.
