Google Android is an open source mobile operating system designed by Google to run on smartphones. T-Mobile will be the first wireless phone company to start selling phones with Google's Android software. The T Mobile G1 phone debuted Tuesday, September 23, 2008 and was available for purchase starting on October 22, 2008. The phone is expected to rival the existing smartphones as well Apple's iPhone.
