Synopsis
Viggo Mortensen plays John Halder, an affable and hard working family man in 1930's Germany. Halder writes a novel which advocates compassionate euthanasia. The book gains the attention of German political figures working on government propaganda. In a time of fierce nationalism, Halder's views and skills lead him to success in his career and personal life. As the climate in Germany changes for the darker, Halder is forced to consider the consequences of his decisions and what effects his beliefs may have on the people in and around his life.Official Site: Good -
