  • Gomez is a British band whose 1998 debut album, Bring It On, was awarded the coveted Mercury Music Prize. The band's latest studio album, How We Operate, was released in 2006.
  • Career

    Gomez played their first gig together in Leeds, England in 1996, even before they had a formal name. After deciding on a name, Gomez began recording four track demos in drummer Olly Peacock's garage shortly after their first performance, before eventually signing with Virgin Records in 1997. In 2005, Gomez signed with ATO Records and released their first live album Out West. Gomez continued to produce albums and tour and in March of 2007 they recorded a concert at the Vic Theater in Chicago, Illinois.
