Vocalist Alison Goldfrapp and composer/producer Will Gregory make up British electronica duo Goldfrapp. While the band's debut album Felt Mountain was firmly rooted in ambient electronica, there later and more commercially-success releases, Black Cherry and Supernature, have experimented with everything from electroclash to glam rock and synthpop.
Supernature was nominated for the "Best Electronic/Dance Album" Grammy in 2007. It was followed by the 2008 release Seventh Tree.
Alison Goldfrapp began her career as a vocalist with such electronic acts as Orbital and Tricky. She was introduced to WIll Gregory in 1999. The two recorded a never-released demo from a film soundtrack Gregory was working on. Several months after their initial meeting, they decided to form a band.
The band's album artwork is designed by Alison Goldfrapp.
