  • Brief Background

    Goku is a fictional character created by Akira Toriyama. He is from a species of creature called Saiyans who are supposed to be super strong warriors. Goku's home planet is called Vegeta, which is a fictional planet within the Dragon Ball Universe.

    His original name was Kakarrot, and soon after his birth he had to leave his home planet and travel to earth. The Dragon Ball series follows the escapades of Goku from childhood to adulthood, during the course of which he is pitted against various threats to the safety of earth and humanity.

    Later on in the series he gets married to a human (Chichi) and has two sons who also become warriors: Gohan and Goten.
