Godsmack is a popular hard rock band from Massachusetts. They got their name from an Alice in Chains song titled "God Smack." The band is made up of Sully Erna, Tony Rombola, Robbie Merrill and Shannon Larkin.
Their debut album, Godsmack, sold over five million albums in two years time and was nominated for three Grammy Awards. However, it was viewed as controversial due to the profanity within the lyrics of their songs. Godsmack has two number one albums, Faceless and IV. In addition, they have had fifteen top 10 mainstream rock hits.
Godsmack's hit songs include "Voodoo," "Awake," "Straight Out of Line," "Speak," "Running Blind," "Re-Align" and "Greed.
