The Godaddy.com website also has a video blog by founder, Bob Parsons, also known as the Go Daddy. In his video blogs, Parsons provides information about using the site's services and tools.
Parsons suggests tools like money back guarantees, shipping options and targeted advertising that Godaddy.com customers can use to find and retain customers. Another Parsons suggestion is to limit the use of music on websites to sites for musicians. The addition of music to sites frequently drives prospective customers away.
Parsons points out that most online vendors do not sufficiently interact with their customers as online customers want more interaction rather than less. Parsons is also encouraging to his web host service customers. He suggests that site owners try multiple solutions to issues as you never know which method will be a hit with potential customers.http://www.bobparsons.me/index.php?ci=14969&id=-1&isc=goaz2001bq&targetGuid=b31611e7-df17-4363-b78b-fc9dd107ceee
GoDaddy to Pull Out of China
China wanted GoDaddy to change its rules for them. GoDaddy said no.
The Chinese government wanted GoDaddy to provide them with detailed information for each registrar, including pictures. GoDaddy said that would put their domain registrars at risk of harm, so they refused to have any part in it.
"We were immediately concerned about the motives behind the increased level of registrant verification being required," said Go Daddy General Counsel Christine Jones. "The intent of the procedures appeared, to us, to be based on a desire by the Chinese authorities to exercise increased control over the subject matter of domain name registrations by Chinese nationals."http://www.fudzilla.com/content/view/18241/1/
