God of War II is a hack-and-slash action-adventure video game developed by SCE Studios for Sony's PlayStation 2 video game console. It continues the story of Kratos, the Spartan warrior who broke free from his servitude of the Gods of Mount Olympus and killed Aries in the first game, God of War. After a brief tenure as the god of war, Kratos is betrayed again by the gods, and enlists the aid of the downcast yet still powerful titans to wage war on the gods of Olympus.
In 2009 a remastered version of the game was released together with God of War, as part of the God of War Collection. Both games have been remastered in 720p resolution, with added Trophies, and includes a code to download the God of War 3 Demo.
Mature Themes
While the criteria for the ESRB Mature rating can be fuzzy at times, there is no ambiguity where it comes to God of War 2. Like its predecessor, this game included some very graphic violence, with depictions of dismemberment, decapitation, disemboweling, and self-immolation, and other instances of gratuitous brutality, all with clearly visible blood splatter when they occur in the game. What's more, the game displays frontal female nudity on several occasions, with one mini-game insinuating that Kratos has sex during the game.

God of War 2: The Dark Rider
The Dark Rider is the master of the Dark Griffin. He is not too difficult to beat. The Dark Rider owns the Spear of Destiny.

Icarus is located on the Island of Creation, and has turned old. However, despite his age, Icarus is a formidable foe. The battle between Kratos and Icarus is quite original, as they fight in mid-air, falling to the ground. The goal for Kratos is to rip Icarus' wings from his body. After doing so, Kratos lands on Atlas, and Icarus is returned back to the Underworld.
God of War 2: Kraken
The Kraken is a giant octopus, and one of the tougher bosses to beat. The Kraken spits slime, and swings his tentacles to hit Kratos.

God of War 2: Perseus
Demigod Perseus is a fast mover, and has several attacks. His main advantage is his Helmet of Hades, which makes him invisible. Difficult to beat.
God of War 2: Zeus
The final boss of the game is Zeus. Your main adversary, and the one who betrayed you at the start of the game. It's now time to take your revenge.
