  • Google services, including Gmail, reportedly suffered outages across the world on September 1, 2009.     Previous outages were reported in May of 2009 and August of 2008.

    In an additional statement at 12:40 p.m. "We're aware some users are having trouble accessing some Google services. We're looking into it, and we'll update everyone soon."   • August 2008 Outage

    On Monday, August 11, 2008, Gmail users were unable to log into their accounts for more an hour. Users received a "Temporary Error (502)" message when trying to log in. According to reports, if users were already logged into their accounts prior to the service outage they were able to view messages received in their inbox. However, they were unable to send an outgoing message and received an error message when they attempted to send.
