General Motors, one of the biggest automakers in the world, announced on May 15, 2009, they were closing down 1,100 dealerships nationwide. This news came only one day after Chrysler sent closing notices to 789 dealerships.CBN.com: General Motors Closing 1,100 Dealerships (May 15, 2009)
