Glenn Close is an American film, stage and television actress. She won Emmy Awards for her role in the dramatic series Damages for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in both 2008 and 2009.
In 1984, she became the third actor to receive an Oscar, Emmy and Tony nomination in the same calendar year for The Big Chill , Something About Amelia, and The Real Thing, respectively.
