Glee

Glee is a one hour musical drama-comedy television show which showcases an optimistic high-school Spanish teacher who directs the school’s glee club, and hopes to be able to transform the group back to the top school performers that it used to be in order to get into the National competition. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1327801/

The show's characters touch on real life issues encountered in a high school setting like teen pregnancy, competition among groups, dealing with disabilities, dealing with sexuality, and issues of conflict among teachers. In spite of the heavy issues, the show maintains a comedy demeanor.
