Girls of Gaming is an annual Playboy spread featuring naked digital female characters from various video games. In recent years there have been 6 characters per spread, which is typically released in December of each year. The images shown are graphic and some people have at least initially struggled to tell the difference between the anime/digital characters and the real thing.

The basic strategy is that a selection committee decide upon which characters from which games are to be featured. Once this is decided an extensive process develops where the character is converted from the standard look in their game to the playboy look.
