  • Giorgio Moroder is an Academy Award-winning Italian record producer and composer, a pioneer in the use of electronic keyboards within pop and movie music.
  • Career

    Giorgio Moroder begans his career producing pop music in the early 70s, most notably songs by Donna Summer and other disco musicians. Moroder also worked heavily in the film industry composing soundtracks and scores for popular movies. His first big score was for the film Son of My Father in 1972 but it was work on the 1978 film Midnight Express that earned Moroder an Academy Award for best film score. Moroder's first album, E=MC2, in 1979. Other popular films Morodor has worked on include Scarface and Top Gun. He was inducted to the Dance Music Hall of Fame in 2004.
