Larson was injured while she was at what she calls the "Losers Lodge sequester," they place they take the contestants after they are voted off of Survivor. While giving bodysurfing lessons, Larson was picked up and tossed by an 8 foot wave, injuring her rotator cuff but not breaking any bones.
