Gilles Marini

Gilles Marini is an actor and reality show star. He appears in the eighth season of the ABC reality show Dancing with the Stars. Before his time on Dancing, Gilles appeared in several television shows and films including Nip/Tuck, Dirty Sexy Money and Screech of the Decapitated.

May 19, 2009, Marini came in second place on Dancing with the Stars. Shawn Johnson was crowned the winner while Melissa Rycroft came in third place.

Marini rose to fame staring in commercials for products like Coke, Budweiser and Mervins. His first major success came with the role of Dante, Samantha's potential love interest, in the Sex and the City movie. On February 8, 2009, ABC announced that Marini joined the cast of the long running show Dancing with the Stars.

Marini reportedly sought medical treatment after experiencing groin pain during the rehearsal of Dancing with the Stars on February 27, 2009.
