  • Giancarlo Fisichella is an Italian Formula One driver who drove for the Force India F1 team until September 2009. It was announced on September 3, 2009 that Fisichella would move from the Force India F1 team to Scuderia Ferrari as a replacement driver for the injured Felipe Massa until the end of the season.

    Fishichella will remain at Ferrari in 2010 as a reserve driver. His replacement at Force India has yet to be announced.

    On August 29, 2009 Fisichella scored his first ever pole position at the Spa circuit in Belgium, the first pole position for the Force India team. He then followed up with a surprising 2nd place in the race behind Kimi Raikkonen of Ferrari.

    He is one of the remaining veterans having driven in the past for Renault, Sauber, Jordan, Benetton and Minardi.
