GhostSlayer is an action game for Nintendo WII, released on February 22, 2010. The game was published by Gevo Entertainment and it was developed by the same company, being rated T for Teen. GhostSlayer is a single player game and is the first WiiWare action game capable to support Wii MotionPlus, but the player can also run it without this accessory. The game can be purchased with 600 Nintendo Points (approximately $ 6.00).

GhostSlayer is the first game of this franchise and the player will have the chance to use his playing skills in order to slay his enemies in a sword-fighting game. Using Wii MotionPlus is optional, but can provide an advantage to the player if multiple foes are encountered at the same time. The story takes place near Hellstone Mountains and the surrounding villages. At the foot of the mountain a well was built long time ago. A well so deep that villagers believe it reaches Hell. It is also known that in Hell, the Ghost Queen is imprisoned by the Gods In, order to protect the humans from her destruction. The well never ran dry, until one day when during a drought the well dried up, allowing the Ghost Queen and her minions to escape and attack the surrounding villages. As a Ghost Slayer it is your mission to fight against them and in the end to destroy the Ghost Queen.

In GhostSlayer the player has the chance to fight against different types of enemies, especially ghosts, using his swords. There are many special techniques to be mastered and different moves: strike, block, parry, etc.. The game features a first person perspective and swords are the only weapons available. Advancing in the game and accessing different difficulty levels (3 available), will grant the player the possibility to unlock new types of swords with different damage and fighting techniques.
