Dreamworks is planning a live-action 3D adaptation of the popular Japanese manga series Ghost in the Shell. The futuristic cop thriller has been adapted into three previous anime films, two television series, and several video games for PlayStation.
Steven Spielberg took a personal interest in the project, citing Ghost as one of his favorite stories. There was no immediate word on a production starting date.
