19-year-old Gettysburg College student Emily Rachel Silverstein was stabbed and choked to death at the off-campus apartment of her former boyfriend Kevin Robert Schaeffer on April 9, 2009. 21-year-old Schaeffer was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, possessing an instrument of crime, tampering with evidence and criminal homicide.
