Ford Modeling Agency
Jerry and Eileen Ford founded Ford Modeling Agency in 1946. The agency was started in the Ford's home in Manhattan, New York, and came to represent a number of well known models such as Christie Brinkley, Christy Turlington and Stephanie Seymour. Ford Modeling Agency still operates today under the supervision of Jerry and Eileen's daughter, Katie Ford. It consists of 12 offices around the world and employs almost 200 people. Katie Ford made this statement about her family's business, "Ford is known for building the stars. It's not just finding the models, it's recruit[ment] and then development. We develop them in terms of testing, teaching them what it means to be a model and they develop into stars."My Prime Time: A Model Company-
