Gerald Wallace attempted to knock off two-time champion Nate Robinson in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest on February 13, 2010. The competition took places in Arlington, Texas at brand new Dallas Cowboys Stadium. This page provides videos of Wallace's attempts at trying to win the 2010 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. Wallace was one of the four contestants in the 2010 contest but did not advance to the final round.
Wallace currently plays for the Charlotte Bobcats of the NBA as a forward. Originally drafted by the Sacramento Kings in 2001, he participated in the 2002 Slam Dunk Contest as a rookie. He defeated Steve Francis in a one-on-one semifinal competition before losing to Jason Richardson in the finals.
Wallace left the University of Alabama basketball program after just one season and was drafted by the Kings. He was known as an athletic player who could challenge the basket with authority and wasn't afraid to go strong to the bucket against bigger and stronger defenders.
