Georgia Southwestern State University

Georgia Southwestern State University is a public Liberal Arts school. The sports teams are part of the Peach Belt athletic conference.

The Third Agricultural and Mechanical School was founded in 1906. In 1964, the institution would begin to transition to a four year degree granting college. In 1996, the name was changed to Georgia Southwestern State University.Gsw.edu: History
