FOX News reports Republican Nathan Deal has won the Georgia Governor's race over the Democratic candidate Roy Barnes. At the conclusion of vote counting, Deal led Barnes by a 53% to 43% margin. Republican incumbent Johnny Isakson was declared winner in the Senate race with 59% of the vote over competitor Michael Thurmond who received 39%.http://www.foxnews.com/interactive/politics/candidate-list/#state=GA
The House of Representatives District 8 race resulted in a win for the challenger with Republican Austin Scott taking 52% of the vote over incumbent Democrat Jim Marshall who drew 48% of the vote. FOX News reported Scott as the winner after 96% of the votes have been reported.
