  • George Stephanopoulos is the anchor of This Week with George Stephanopoulos as well as the chief Washington correspondent for ABC News. Before signing with ABC, he was a senior political adviser to Bill Clinton during the 1992 U.S. presidential campaign. He was appointed President Clinton's communications director after the election.

  • Clinton Years

    Stephanopoulos and James Carville were the focus of the documentary film The War Room, which followed the daily activity of the two men who were responsible for Clinton's campaign strategies. In 1999, Stephanopoulos published his memoirs, All Too Human: A Political Education.   • After the White House

    ABC News hired Stephanopoulos as a political analyst. He also began working as a correspondent on several ABC news shows. In 2002, he became the host of This Week. ABC News officially named him chief Washington correspondent in 2005.
