Australian actor and model George Lazenby portrayed secret agent James Bond in the 1969 film, On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
Career Overview
After completing On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Lazenby refused a multi-picture contract, choosing instead to appear in a series of Hong Kong action films featuring martial arts superstar Bruce Lee. Lee's sudden death in 1973 lowered the profile of the films, which were eventually released without Lee's involvement under the titles, The Shrine of Ultimate Bliss, The Man from Hong Kong and A Queen's Ransom. Lazenby rounded out the 1970s with a cameo in the 1977 parody, Kentucky Fried Movie, and by guest-starring in TV series including Hawaii Five-O and B.J. and the Bear. His ouvre during the 1980s and 1990s was similar, and continued into the present decade with voice work for Batman Beyond and appearances in low-budget films such as the 2003 sex comedy, Winter Break.
