The George Foreman Grill is an immensely popular kitchen appliance known for its slanted clamshell design that drains away fat and grease during the cooking process, which collects in a drip tray that sits below the unit. It is used in the grilling of all types of food including meat, fish, poultry and vegetables. By allowing the fat to roll of the grill and away from the food, the grill claims to reduce the fat of many foods. The grill's spokesperson is famous boxer George Foreman, who has endorsed the product since it came to market in 1995. Playing on Foreman's fighting history, the Foreman Grill often uses the slogan "knock out the fat". Since 1995, over 100 million grills have been sold.http://www.georgeforemancooking.com/t-ourhistory.aspx
