Geometry Wars: Galaxies is a 2007 sci-fi shooter developed by Bizarre Creations and Kuju Entertainment for the Nintendo Wii and DS. The game was first released as a mere bonus game included with the Xbox version of Project Gotham Racing 2, and was subsequently released as a standalone game.
Gameplay
Unlike the original demo version included in Project Gotham Racing 2, the full version of Geometry Wars: Galaxies is presented in a series of levels that gradually increase in difficulty as you progress. In the game you control a small ship from a top-down 2D view, moving it around the screen shooting various enemies in the form of geometric shapes. Enemies include diamonds, squares, long serpentine shapes, and other varieties. A new addition to the version is the inclusion of “geoms,” small collectible score multipliers that emerge from defeated enemies. Combined with the gold, silver and bronze medal score ranking system, geoms require you to manually upgrade your score multiplier in order to achieve higher rank.
