  • Geoff Jenkins is an All-Star outfielder who most recently played Major League Baseball for the Philadelphia Phillies. His career is marked by two extremes, his early years was playing at an all-star caliber, while later in his career he has struggled offensively and has become a role player off the bench.

  • Early Life

    Geoff Jenkins was born in Olympia, Washington. on July 21, 1974. He would attend Cordova High School in California. At the high school, he would participate in football, basketball, as well as baseball. He would later move on to attend the University of Southern California where he would lead the Trojans to the College World Series. He would establish himself as one of the greatest players in school history finishing his career with at .369 batting average and hitting 45 home Runs while at USC.
  • Pro Career

    Jenkins would be selected with the ninth pick in the 1995 amateur draft by the Milwaukee Brewers. He would make his major league debut on April 24, 1998. He would establish himself as an everyday player, in 2003, would be selected to the National League All-Star team. He would struggle offensively the next couple of years and would eventually lose his starting job and become a role player off the bench for the Brewers. In 2007, he would sign,as a free agent with the Philadelphia Phillies for two years at $13 million.
