Attractions
Geneva is the second largest city in Switzerland, and there are some attractions that can't be missed. Start with Saint Peter's Cathedral for a stunning view of the city from the north tower. The Jet d'eau, also known as the "Rade," has become quite a spectacle, shooting water more then 459 feet in the air at 124 mph. Admission is free and the night-time illumination is said to be beautiful. And Geneva's world famous Flower Clock is set right outside of the Jardin Anglais and "is a masterpiece of technology and floral art."
Museums
Museums are a big part of Geneva. There are over 40 in the city, including private and public museums and art galleries. The Musees d'Art et d'Histoire is one of the largest museums in Switzerland, spread out within eight different locations and has collections from fine arts to archaelogy. A great museum for children is the Musee d'Histoire Naturelle. It is the largest natural history museum in Switzerland and includes a floor of mammals and birds, one of reptiles and insects, and one on the history of man-kind.
