Genetic Genealogical Organizations
Various organizations have sprung up worldwide which offer genetic genealogy testing for individuals. After signing up, participants will be mailed a kit with which to take a DNA sample. The DNA sample is mailed back to the organization, which then analyzes the DNA and compares it against other samples. The participant is provided with a certificate that details genetic genealogy similarities and inferred historical relationships. The organization, in turn, uses this information to conduct broad-scale research on family histories and human migratory patterns. -
