Career
In 1934, Krupa joined Benny Goodman's big band orchestra. After a falling out with Goodman, Krupa formed his own band in 1938. The band experienced major success between 1941 and 1942 with hits like "Let Me Off Uptown," "After You've Gone," "Rockin' Chair" and "Thanks for the Boogie Ride." The band eventually broke up in 1951 due to Krupa's failing health.
Krupa also made several film appearances including Ball of Fire and Syncopation.
