Academy Award winning actress Geena Davis played "Thelma" in the classic film Thelma and Louise co-starring with Susan Sarandon. Davis also played first female American President on the ABC show Commander in Chief.
Film Career
Davis worked at Ann Taylor in New York City in the early 1980s while trying to get a job with a modeling agency. She was signed by the Zoli Agency when she was 23 years old. She contracted to model for the Victoria's Secret Catalog. Director Sydney Pollack discovered her through the catalog and cast her in the 1982 film Tootsie.
She moved to Los Angeles after the success of the film and went on to star in many other films including Beetle Juice, The Fly, Angie, A League Of Their Own, Stuart Little, and Stuart Little 2.
