    The ad opens on Marcus Fenix and his squad resting on a desolate planet. Marcus Fenix is lying beneath a tree, Cole Train is pointing his rifle and Dom is looking at a picture of himself with his girlfriend or wife, presumably. The group is then seen on a large platform before a cut to a shot of large high-power drills powering up. The squad enters a metal chamber that gets thrust into the ground by the drills. A long shot reveals their destination to be a huge underground cavern, the habitat of the Locust aliens that are the antagonists of the series. As Marcus Fenix begins to open the door the picture fades to black and the Gears of War 2 logo appears.
