  • On March 24, 2009, an Xbox 360 promotional product page written in an Asian language was translated indicating that Gears of War 2 would be getting an additional DLC pack that had not yet been formally announced. The page lists a content pack called Dark Corners which will be released in April.Joystiq: Rumor: Gears of War 2 Dark Corners DLC to be revealed this week?

A retail collection of downloadable add-ons called All Fronts was later confirmed that includes 19 multiplayer maps and a single-player campaign mission.

  • What is Dark Corners?

The possible existence of Dark Corners has caused many fans and industry professionals to attempt to predict what exactly the DLC might contain.

The second full Map Pack for Gears of War 2, titled Snowblind (release date: March 31) will be a map pack including four new multiplayer landscapes:

    1. Grindyard
    2. Courtyard
    3. Under Hill
    4. Fuel Depot

And because the rumored date for Dark Corners comes so close behind the release of the new map pack, Dark Corners could possibly be an additional single-player component for the title. However, as the only downloadable content that has ever been released for the Gears series is new multiplayer maps, any additional single-player content would be a first for the series.Destructoid: Gears of War 2 getting Dark Corners DLC?
