Tenuous Footing
- Head into the sinkhole. Go to the right to board the crane.
- Direct the crane, which carries a wooden platform, to where Dom is on the left. He'll board, then you can swing him down to the other side. If you're playing with a teammate, move him slowly so Dom doesn't get destroyed by enemy gunfire. Put him in place to kill the Locust without getting lit up.
- When Dom gets down to the other side, you'll leave the crane. Give him some cover and soon his crane will make a bridge to let you cross.
- Head down onto the rooftop after it's clear. Look for a Locust grapple hook straight across and knock it off. Then look right for a mauler.
- If you still have the Hammer of Dawn, smoke the mauler with it for quick results. Otherwise you'll need conventional strategies.

- After the mauler, a reaver lands on the roof across from you. Hammer it too, or take cover and shoot it for a few minutes.
- Go down where the mauler came from. You'll face tickers and a flamer in close quarters, so try to make quick work of both from a distance. Your optimum scenario is to blow up a ticker right next to the flamer, which will instantly destroy both.
- Head forward. Clear the Locust here and head onto the rooftop. You'll start to see grappling hooks popping up on all three sides.
- Knock down the hooks quickly to save yourself a headache and mop up any drones that make it up. After a few seconds, the roof will drop under you and you'll crash down a few floors lower.
- When you hit the bottom, grab cover on the windows just ahead and shoot at the Locust as they enter from the stairs at the back. After a few drones and a flamer, you're in the clear.
- Collectible! Stranded's Journal. The final collectible item is on this rooftop when you jump through these windows. Go past the desk and bookcase, to the furthest right corner of the area. You should see an open book. Grab it to get your Completionist Achievement.
- Head down the stairs. There are a few more Locust drones up ahead. You can shoot them from above, which is effective, or go down and get alongside and behind them, which also works well.
- Near where you entered the bottom rooftop, you'll see a metal structure supported by two thick steel cables. Slice the cables with your saw.
- As you cross the antenna and dodge enemy fire, it'll fall out from under you, dropping you into the next area.
- Right around the corner to the left is a kantus and some drones, plus tickers. Kill the kantus first, as usual.

- Go into the building and you'll see a brumak, which starts firing on your location.
- TIP: If you still have your hammer of dawn, use it to thrash quite a few of those drones running out of the cavern ahead. Squashing many enemies en masse helps for your ludicrous Seriously 2.0 Achievement.
- After the building falls apart, follow Dom and escape before it burns around you. You'll have to vault some cover, then hit an elevator button and dive through to get out.
- At the end of the elevator ride, you'll be face-to-face with the brumak. Grab cover along the wall, then press A at the edge of each piece to spin to the next position. Keep going until you get outside of the building.
- Continue to the next break in the wall, where the brumak's pilot will jump off it and try to fight you. Kill him to get the Brumak Rodeo Achievement. You'll also end the chapter.

Closure
- Ride the brumak forward and start thrashing the hordes of Locust soldiers around. Use X to fire salvos of those awesome rockets brumaks use, and the triggers to employ its heavy machine guns.
- Head forward and take out the boomer to the left, near a hole a corpser digs. Keep an eye out for reavers as you keep moving up, through more troops and boomers.
- As you near the big door, two reavers will drop in. Kill them with rockets and use B to punch through the door.
- On the other side, start by targeting the fleeing drones and the lights on the left and right. With those down, kill the turret gunners on the far left and far right as well. Rockets are most effective for this.
- Keep moving up. You'll see three reavers come after you just as you're passing two boomers on the right. Thrash them all with rockets, but do so quickly so they can't gang up on you.

- Head into the tunnel and you'll be ambushed by a corpser. Pound your B button to defeat the monster.
- Up ahead, two reavers hit the ground ahead as two boomers and two grinders get ready to fight you along the right side. Hit the reavers with a volley of rockets to knock out both, then hammer the boomers with the same treatment.
- Bust open the door. Start by turning right and thrashing the gunners along the wall there, then knock out the two turret stations on the left and right side of the path ahead.
- Look ahead for turret gunners along both walls and kill them. As you move forward, you'll take fire from drones fleeing you. Kill them too.
- Along the left, a big door will bust open to expose you to boomer fire. Rockets will take out the whole mess of them.
- Move down the path and look right to see one of the beast barges you rode earlier in the game. Thrash it with rockets to destroy it, then turn left and bust down the door.
- Move into the cavern and start clearing it out. There are two seeders ahead that you need to blast.
- Go ahead and start walking through the Imulsion on the ground. Kill the first two seeders, then look at the column up above the one on the left. Thrash it with rockets to knock it down.
- Ahead is another seeder, with a turret station above it. If you destroy the turrets, the second column goes.
- TIP: Look up. Not only are you being dive bombed by nemacyst mortars from the seeders and reavers, but there's a whole fleet of nemacyst in the air. You can wreak havoc on them with your guns for lots of kills toward your Seriously 2.0 Achievement.
- Walk forward and left to find the last column and the last seeder. Clear both.

Boss Fight: Lambent Brumak
- There's actually nothing to this fight. You're aboard the helicopter, and your only weapon is the Hammer of Dawn.
- Your primary job is to hold down the Right Trigger. Your goal is to keep the beam over the brumak for as long as possible.
- Occasionally you'll be bounced around by the attacks of the brumak. Three hits is one too many, but you'll take two no matter what.

- When your laser goes out, aim and fire it again to make sure the brumak takes its medicine. As you near its head, get the giant beam right over top of its brain and leave it there. If you don't, the brumak will grab your helicopter and eat you.
- Hold the beam over the brumak's head, and... that's it. With a sustained blast, you defeat the boss in a fairly anticlimactic experience. That ends the game.
- For your win, you'll receive the Does This Look Infected to You? Achievement, as well as completion achievements depending on your difficulty level. For example, if you played the game through on Hardcore difficulty, you'll get the Tourist of Duty, Guerilla Tactician and Artist of War Achievements.
- You'll also unlock Skorge as a playable character in multiplayer, and the Insanity difficulty. Playing the game through on Insanity opens the Suicide Missionary Achievement.
