Gazelle

-->
  • Gazelles are medium-sized antelope native to Africa and southern Asia. There are nineteen different species of gazelle, all of which live in large herds consisting of anywhere from ten to several hundred animals. Most gazelles live on grasslands and savannas, where they graze on grasses, leaves and shoots. Gazelles are preyed upon by many carnivores, including lions, hyenas, leopards and cheetahs, but their ability to run at high speeds for longer periods of time than their predators helps them survive many attacks.
