Bantamweight boxer Gary Russell Jr was on the 2008 U.S. Olympic Boxing team. Just hours before the Olympic weigh-in, Russell Jr. collapsed in his dorm room in the Olympic Village. Russell Jr. became severely dehydrated after he tried to ensure that he met the division's weight limit of 119 pounds.
