Football Career
Johnson began his career with the Colorado State Rams in 2004, receiving a medical redshirt, then playing in three games in 2005. He saw increased playing time during his sophomore season, starting 12 games and recording 346 yards, including 18 carries and three touchdowns in a September 2, 2006, game against Weber State.Colorado State Rams: Gartrell JohnsonJohnson began the 2007 season as a fullback, but was then named the starting running back during the sixth week of the season.
