  • Canadian professional hockey player Garth Murray plays for the Florida Panthers in the National Hockey League.
  • NHL Career

    Murray was drafted 79th overall in the 2001 NHL Draft by the New York Rangers. He was assigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack, a Rangers' American Hockey League affiliate. The Rangers called up Murray to make his NHL debut during the 2003-04 regular season. He returned to the Wolf Pack during the 2004-05 NHL Lockout. Following the lockout, Murray was traded to the Montreal Canadiens on September 30, 2005. He played the majority of the next two seasons with the Canadiens before he was waived and picked up by the Florida Panthers on November 12, 2007.
